Tātai Hono

A reflection of a limitless network of connection & relationships - with our past and our future, our natural environment and each other. Inspired by Te Whare Tupuna (the ancestral meeting house) and tāniko (traditional embroidery), the body of this design is a reflection of our traditional whare roofing construction, the tāhūhū, (main beam) the kaho (battens) and heke (rafters).
This blanket is woven with 100% New Zealand Lambswool, milled and raised to achieve a lush feel. Using five different weave structures to embellish the design, it also features a delicate fringe edging and has a reversible contrasting colour pallette. The yarn colours used are Ochre, Sienna, Buff and Olive.
