Acrylic Application (with TCG HEMA-Free Monomer) Step-by-Step Acrylic Method
You will need:
TCG Acrylic/Dipping Powder, TCG HEMA-Free Monomer, dappen dish, acrylic brush, dehydrator, primer, nail file, buffer. 1. Nail Preparation
Sanitise hands and nails.
Remove shine from the natural nail using a 180 grit file or buffer.
Remove all dust.
Apply TCG Dehydrator / pH Bond.
Apply TCG Primer (if required) and allow to air dry. 2. Set Up Monomer & Brush
Pour a small amount of TCG HEMA-Free Monomer into a dappen dish.
Saturate your acrylic brush and wipe to form a clean point. 3. Pick Up a Bead
Dip brush into monomer, wipe excess on the dappen dish edge.
Dip the brush tip into powder to create a smooth bead.
Allow the bead to reach a workable consistency (not too wet or too dry). 4. Apply Acrylic
Place the bead onto the nail.
Pat and press gently to shape.
Smooth and blend product towards the cuticle area, keeping the product thin at the perimeter.
Continue adding beads until the nail is fully structured. 5. Curing / Setting
Allow acrylic to fully set (typically 2–3 minutes depending on room temperature). 6. File & Finish
Shape using a 100/180 grit file.
Refine surface with a buffer.
Remove dust.
Apply your preferred TCG Top Coat or gel top coat and cure if required.
Tip: Use smaller beads for cuticle control and a slightly wetter bead for faster levelling on longer extensions.
