Andy Leleisi'uao (1969-)

Andy Leleisi’uao grew up in Mangere, South Auckland. His work is reflective of his experience as a New Zealand-born Samoan. Pulling inspiration from the iconography of Stone Age rock art, classical Greek vase painting, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and Samoan siapa cloth, Andy Leleisi’uao has developed a distinctive visual language.
