Carved from New Zealand jade, this breastplate pendant presents a clean, unbroken plane of pale green stone - its colour even and undisturbed, its surface precisely finished. The classic shield shape is a traditional form but this one is carved with a contemporary flair.

The pendant hangs from a four-strand plaited cord in natural beige, adjustable for exact placement. The cord's tight weave ensures durability without bulk. Matching beige bindings secure the cord to the tips of the crescent with decorative stitching.
