The frame has strong straight lines and the Amber insert is curved - the back is carved in intricate detail - a woven design that completes what is a remarkable little piece of art.

This really is a wonderful piece - despite its small size, it packs a punch! The amber is a wonderful golden colour and is beautifully clear. It has an ant-like insect captured in the top left corner, and the artist has engraved his name in the Mammoth under the Amber - you can see this in the lower right corner.
