CAJOLE

- An elegant and striking pendant carved from mammoth tusk that's over 30,000 years old - a beautiful and ancient material. The Mammoth Tusk used for this piece is CERTIFIED 34,690 YEARS OLD ( /- 815 years). All our woolly mammoth pieces are provided with our certificate of authenticity.

We had our mammoth material carbon dated to get an accurate measure of its age. The testing was done for us by GNS Science, a New Zealand Crown Research Institute and New Zealand's leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research - so their assessment of this material is as accurate as is possible using radiocarbon dating technology.

We love the teardrop conclusion to this traditional double twist. It is a graceful representation of a carving which symbolises friendship, partnership and love.

These have been carved from woolly mammoth tusk, recovered from the Alaskan tundra. It is a gorgeous, honey-gold colour with a fabulous grain.

The twist: symbol of friendship, partnership and loyalty

The drop: healing and comfort
