Lot Eight Reserve - new season - 750mls
A superstar New Zealand extra virgin olive oil, Lot Eight Reserve is built around a simple idea: balance. Each year, oil maker Nalini Baruch brings together two of her favourite cultivars - Koroneiki and Frantoio - choosing the right olives from each harvest to create the finest seasonal blend. The result is a robust, characterful, super premium extra virgin olive oil, with lifted herbal notes and a gentle tropical fruit character.
Recognised early with top honours in New Zealand and a Gold Medal in New York, the Reserve has stayed true to its origin. It’s an oil with presence: confident enough to stand on its own, yet flexible enough to lift any dish without overwhelming it. Note: 750mls in an extra dark glass bottle

About the Producer
'Based in the renowned wine region of Martinborough, New Zealand, LOT EIGHT is a boutique artisan producer founded in 1997 by Colin and Nalini Baruch. As pioneers in the New Zealand olive industry, the estate has evolved from a small home block into a regional leader that manages the entire production cycle from "grove to table."
The estate features approximately 400 trees, including Italian, Israeli, and Spanish varieties, supplemented by fruit from a small coterie of carefully selected contracted growers. This collaborative model allows for a seasonal output of roughly 40 tons of fruit, processed at local mills in Carterton and Featherston. LOT EIGHT are also celebrated for their fragrant oils, which are created by milling fresh ingredients like citrus or herbs simultaneously with the olives to ensure deep, integrated flavours.
Their flagship product, the Oil Maker’s Blend, has been a staple since 2002, frequently winning Best in Show at the New Zealand Extra Virgin Olive Oil Awards. Innovation remains a hallmark of the brand, highlighted by their Yuzu Olive Oil - a world-first.'
