About the Author:Tim Waitai-Tipene, (Ngāti Kuri/Ngāti Whatua) – was adopted into the Waitai-Tipene whanau as a toddler. He was raised in two cultures, Māori and European. First published in 1996 Tim is now the author of more than thirteen books, five of which have won awards.Isobel Te Aho-White, (Ngāti Kahungunu/Ngāi Tahu) – a very popular illustrator based in Wellington. “My personal artwork is definitely about connecting people with each other and with nature … uplifting people, especially young women," Isobel remarks.
