Richmond Plains Sauvignon Blanc 2025

 

Richmond Plains produced New Zealand’s first certified organic Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir wine.
Sauvignon Blanc is ideally suited to the Nelson region where a combination of warm, sunny days and cool autumn nights, help to create the intense varietal flavours for which this flagship New Zealand wine is recognised.

Tasting: Fresh herbaceous characters with kiwifruit, green apple notes. Delicious gooseberry, capsicum, passionfruit and lime flavours with a lovely background of mineral and nettle tones. Fresh, fruity & vibrant with good weight and length. A very versatile and popular wine that complements a wide variety of food styles especially seafood and ideal as an aperitif.

Wine Making: Fruit was picked in March, crushed and de-stemmed before being cool fermented to preserve the vibrant, fresh Sauvignon characters.

Diet: This wine is suitable for a vegan diet.

Analysis: Alcohol 13.0%, Acidity 7.6 g/L, Residual Sugar 4 g/L

Fabulously aromatic, the inviting bouquet shows green rockmelon, feijoa, kaffir lime and jasmine characters, leading to a wonderfully flavoursome palate that's punchy and tasty, offering terrific drinking.
