The locksmith’s traditional commercial padlock of choice has been a 45 mm brass-bodied padlock, while this choice has remained constant throughout the decades, the ABUS 83/45 brass padlock of today offers substantial improvements in quality, security and corrosion resistance. The 83/45 Mariner padlock has been designed for outdoor conditions with special “pearl chrome” plating which provides superior corrosion protection to the solid brass body. The shackle is stainless steel and the stainless steel keyway is further protected by a covered blue plastic boot.
