Purple Grid Check Fringed Square Scarf 'VIP'

Bold violet and lilac squares interlock across a deep purple background in a graphic grid check, finished with a generous knotted fringe on all four sides. The weave has real depth and texture underfoot, alternating flat woven bands with a raised waffle style check that catches the light differently depending on the angle. A "Made in Western Germany" label survives intact on the reverse, a lovely small piece of Cold War era provenance that adds real character to the find.

Fold it into a wide triangle and knot at the nape for a folk inspired finish, or wear it long and loose over a plain black polo to let the fringe swing freely. The violet and lilac tones sit particularly well against grey, black or soft denim, and it makes an unexpected addition tied around the crown of a cool felt hat.
