This is the story of Cosimo III de Medici and his dear €œStufa dei Mugherini€. This is a love story: the jasmine that struck the Granduca€™s senses was of a special variety, that came from Goa in 1688. More similar to a small rose than a classic jasmine, it had a special greenhouse built for it and was only propagated by Cosimo III's trusted gardeners.
