Algae Eater

A hardworking addition to many freshwater aquariums, s are popular for helping keep tanks clean by grazing on algae from glass, decorations, and hard surfaces. Active and constantly on the move, they make a great addition to well-maintained community aquariums.

Diet: Algae, algae wafers, sinking pellets, and fresh vegetables
Water Parameters: 22–28°C, pH 6.5–7.5

While they enjoy grazing on algae, they should not be relied on as the sole method of algae control and will benefit from a varied diet. Provide plenty of hiding spots and surfaces to explore for a happy, healthy fish.
