A low, mat-forming succulent with bright pink flowers in winter that cover its thick leaves, disappearing to a hardy rhizome in summer—perfect for sunny, well-drained spots and winter colour.

Turkey and the Transcaucasus. A unique tight, mat forming succulent plant that grows from winter to summer. In December and January it is covered in bee friendly, bright pink flowers on short stems which completely hide the close, broad leaves that can suppressing weeds. Then the leaves die off leaving a rhizome which regrows in autumn. Great colours in winter. Full sun and good drainage. Fully hardy. 10cm.
