Dalmatia, Croatia: limestone rock crevices. Interesting foliage and blue-purple, wide-open flower, this is a special plant in the alpine garden and rockery. Violet flowers in summer. Stoloniferous so it forms an evergreen carpet. Likes a bit of lime, but neutral is fine too. Sun.12cm
