Libertia chilensis Syn L. grandiflora (misapplied)

Clumps of dark green, grass-like stems topped with sprays of pure white, saucer-shaped flowers with yellow stamens.

Satin flower. One of New Zealand's exquisite natives, according to the RHS UK. But I think this is the Chilean one! Plants of the World, Kew say it is Chilean, but others think both countries claim it. this distant iris relative has sprays of pure white, almost orchid-like, saucer-shaped flowers with yellow stamens atop clumps of non-invasive dark green stems. Graham Stuart Thomas states that it is "Desirable and elegant." So whereever it comes form. get it! 50-60 cm
