Fritillaria acmopetala
Connoisseurs' bulb.
The pointed-petal fritillary. Found in fields in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Three nodding bell-shaped flowers per stem. On the outside the petals are olive green with brown spots, the inside of the petals is brown. Weedy things from their homelands, found in grasslands, vineyards bush margins and scrub. Easy growing in the garden situation to about 45 cm. Sun
