Moraea tulbaghensis

 

Synonym: M. pavonia A showy bulb with orange petals and iridescent blue/green spots at the petal bases. The mature plant grows up to 0.5 m high and produces a single long, linear, spreading basal leaf up to 0.9 m long. Best without severe frost, but try sheltered nooks. Dormant over summer they are best kept out of excessive moisture. Well drained sandy soil and full sun are required.
