Stage Artware Hand-Painted Teapot – NZ Studio Pottery
This expressive Stage Artware teapot is a standout example of late-20th-century New Zealand studio pottery, featuring bold graphic linework and hand-painted colour blocks typical of the Stage Artware aesthetic.
Made in New Zealand and finished by hand, the design embraces a playful, post-modern style with strong black brushwork, vibrant blues, purples and greens, and a striped handle that adds character from every angle. Complete with its original lid, this compact teapot works beautifully as a display piece while still reflecting the functional origins of studio ceramics from this era.
A great addition to a shelf, sideboard or ceramics collection, particularly for those drawn to expressive 1980s–1990s New Zealand pottery. Condition and Size
This piece measures approximately 10 cm tall.
It is in very good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips observed. The interior shows light staining and natural glaze variation consistent with age and prior use. The original Stage Artware paper label remains present on the base, with expected wear.
