Dracaena Janet Craig Compacta is a dense, sculptural indoor plant prized for its deep green, glossy foliage and naturally compact growth habit. Position & Light Tolerates low to bright indirect light. Thrives in medium to bright filtered light but is well suited to lower light positions where many plants struggle. Avoid direct harsh sun which can scorch foliage. Ideal for south facing rooms or set back from north facing windows in New Zealand homes. Watering Allow the top half of the potting mix to dry before watering. Water thoroughly, then allow excess to drain away. Overwatering is the most common issue, so ensure the plant is not sitting in water. Reduce watering in winter. Humidity Adapts well to average indoor humidity. No special humidity requirements, making it ideal for offices and living spaces. Soil Use a free draining indoor potting mix. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.
