DISTANCE GUIDE (15W BULB)
Distance matters most when the grow light is your plant’s only light source.
Start further away and move closer depending on how your plant responds.
Seedlings, cuttings and foliage growth: 75cm – 1m away
Established plants / higher-light needs: 45cm – 75cm
Move the light closer if growth is leggy.
Move it further away if leaves look stressed or washed out.
WHICH WATTAGE SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?
36W — For larger collections or bright-light plants
Best for wide coverage, higher mounting, greenhouses, grow tents, succulents, cacti, and small indoor fruiting plants.
Highest intensity with a wider beam — ideal for serious growers.
24W — The most popular all-rounder
Perfect for medium houseplant collections, plant shelves, or using two lights to prevent directional growth.
A great balance of intensity and coverage.
15W — For small collections & propagation
Ideal for propagation tanks, trays of seedlings, small grow tents, or compact plant setups like African Violets.
10W — For small setups or close mounting
Best when the light needs to be mounted close to plants — shelves, single trays, or a small number of plants.
Also fits the greatest range of lamps and shades due to its smaller bulb size.
WHAT TO PUT YOUR GROW LIGHT IN
Sansi bulbs use a standard E27 screw-in fitting, making them compatible with most:
• Desk lamps
• Floor lamps
• Pendant cord kits
Because grow light bulbs are wider/longer than standard bulbs, shades aren’t always required. If using a shade, choose one with plenty of airflow and space — at least 3cm around the bulb — to prevent overheating.
The 10W and 15W bulbs usually fit into most lamps easily, while the 24W and 36W bulbs are larger and may need more open fixtures.
