Studio White

A smooth vitreous (Cone 6) clay that fires to an off-white colour. Made from six different clays to provide a range of particle sizes, this imparts excellent plasticity, workability and greenware strength. A versatile clay that is suitable for throwing all sorts of functional forms including tableware.

Best application: Good all purpose clay.

- Mesh size 100

- Bisque: 1000 degrees Celsius

- Glaze: 1150 - 1280 degrees Celsius

- Shrinkage: 6% wet to dry, 9% at 1150º, 10% at 1180º, 11% at 1220º, 12% at 1280º

- Water absorption: 4% at 1150º, 3% at 1180º,
