The Polarium SLB48-100-135-5H is a 48 V, 100 Ah lithium-ion backup battery designed to deliver dependable energy storage for telecommunications, hybrid power systems, industrial networks, and remote infrastructure. Built on Polarium’s fifth-generation LFP architecture, this smart 19-inch 3U module offers stable long-term performance, extended cycle life, and efficient operation across demanding environments.

Its iron-based lithium chemistry supports high reliability with a 15-year calendar life and up to 8000 cycles at full depth of discharge, making it a strong long-term replacement or upgrade path from VRLA banks. The built-in battery management system provides continuous cell supervision, charge control, protection functions, and communication via RS485/Modbus, enabling seamless integration with modern DC power systems and network monitoring platforms.

The SLB48-100-135-5H is engineered for consistent performance in variable climates, supporting wide operating temperature ranges for both charging and discharging. Its compact 3U design allows efficient rack utilisation while maintaining a lightweight footprint at approximately 38 kg. The unit also includes a BMS-controlled 100 A circuit breaker, ensuring safe operation during installation and maintenance.
For added site protection, the battery incorporates Polarium’s patented Anti Theft Device, which disables the unit if it is removed from its installation location. The feature can be activated by serial number under a licence fee, providing an additional layer of security for unattended or remote sites.
