Ceramic Fibre Blanket 128kg/M3, 25mm thick x 610mm wide x 7.62m long Full Roll

These ceramic fibre blankets are brilliant for use in high temperature environments and are ideal for oven and fire building applications. Applying the insulation over the inner dome serves to help retain the heat and protects the outside mortar and paint layers from damaging heat levels.

The 128kg/M3 refers to the density of the material. Some key points:

Extremely good insulation values for their thickness

Easy to work with - cut with a sharp blade

Holds together very well during construction

Safe to handle (but you should wear a dust mask and overalls to reduce irritation)

Withstand temperatures up to 1260 degrees our have an optimal working range of 1100 degrees

Economical in comparison to other insulation methods

One full roll will generally do two layers on a 800mm pizza oven build. 50mm of insulation is recommended as a minimum. Two layers of 25mm insulation is better than one layer of 50mm as the joins are covered and the material is more workable. The insulation layer can be built up around the oven dome to help create the oven shape. More is better when it comes to insulation.
