Fire clay has a number of uses in high heat environments.

Excellent for mixing into other materials to make up your own refractory mortar.

Also used in pottery.

We do not advise this is used on its own as a mortar unless you really know what you are doing. Fire clay is not hydraulic setting and must experience high heat to achieve bonding.
