Shirabond 55S Air-Set Mortar 20kg Pail

SHIRABOND® 55S is a superduty, air-set mortar supplied in wet form ready for use. High
refractoriness, smooth working properties and good shelf life make this product an excellent general purpose mortar.

Applied 1-2mm thick the mortar will set quickly allowing for firing 24 hours after application. The mortar must be heated very slowly to allow excess moisture to escape before full firing.

It must remain dry making it less suitable for outdoor applications. For applications where water is likely to be an issue see our Fire Mortar product.

Manufacturer specifies it will lay 80-90 standard 230x114x75mm bricks but this number is more practically 70-75 bricks
