2025 Yarn Advent Calendar

This year’s Advent is a love letter to Aotearoa’s untamed South Island— a place where mist-laced peaks meet wild thyme and sunrise paints the alpine horizon in ochres, amethyst, and rust. Field Notes are quiet observations — because makers are observers. Hands-on artists. Quiet archivists of beauty. This Advent is for you — the sketchers, the stitchers, the wildflower-pressers. Along with a daily 20 gram yarnie dose of beauty, you’ll uncover a thoughtful weekly gift, something you might carry in your pack: perhaps something to sketch with, steep, nourish, or add to your 'shake off the day routine. We won’t spoil the surprises, but we promise each one is designed to delight the journaler, the wanderer, and the naturalist in you - all while supporting other local hand makers & artisans!

The minis will have individual, numbered, eco-wrapped skeins that will work well as a set and come in it’s own bag. The full size skein(s) work harmoniously as a backdrop for the minis in larger projects like shawls and sweaters.

Choose from 12 or 24 days of 20g mini skeins, and add a full sized 100g skein (or two).
