Make Do and Mend
Making the most of what we've got. Extending the life of handmade and shop bought treasures. And even adding flair and beauty to holes and stains! This workshop offers an overview of some really great techniques.
- Reblocking (soaking) stretched or shrunk garments
- Removing fluff, fuzz, pills, bobbly bits, and lint
- Needle Weaving Darning
- Swiss Darning
- Decorative embroidery mending/ Visible mending
Supplies:
- unrestricted access to the coveted Prosper scrap collection!
- darning needles, sewing needles (provided/available to purchase or bring your own)
- lint remover (provided/bring your own)
- scissors (provided/available to purchase or bring your own)
- please bring in several clothing items you want to work on! Workshop Info:

- location: Prosper Yarn 54 Ponsonby Road If you can come by 15 minutes early to pick out your yarn, we can wind it into a ball for you before class, but this is not essential (we can wind while the class begins as well). This will be a super fun workshop, class size is limited so get in quick!
