Wood Sculpture ver.1

Crafted from a pōhutukawa branch, this piece was sourced by the artist in Muriwai over a decade ago, following a storm that brought down the tree on her property. The surface has been carefully finished with lacquer and wax, enhancing the natural beauty and character of the wood.

A deep connection to the natural environment lies at the heart of the artist’s practice. Her creative rhythm, choice of materials, attention to finish, and workspace are all intrinsically shaped by nature.

This is a unique work, entirely conceived and realised by the artist.

Materials : Mature pohutukawa (rare) endemic to wax.

Handcrafted in Muriwai, New Zealand

Product care - Occasional cleaning with a lightly damp cloth is all that it requires, although you may want to wipe the piece with wax from time to time.
