The SL-U6050 shifter from the Shimano CUES series, which is compatible with the LinkGlide shifting system, is characterized by its ease of use and high level of comfort. However, the defining feature of the Rapidfire Plus shifter is its Short Reach design, which makes it easier, more comfortable and more intuitive to use, especially for riders with small hands or short fingers.

This is due to the "Push Up / Push Down" operating logic with two thumb-operated levers close to the grip and optimized ergonomics. This means that the operating levers are positioned closer to the handlebar, which also noticeably reduces the lever travel and therefore the effort required. In addition, the easy-to-read optical gear display (OGD) provides more control when shifting.

Rapidfire Plus - With this shift lever system, the thumb is used to shift to a larger sprocket and the index finger to a smaller sprocket. When downshifting, up to 3 gear steps can be changed simultaneously.
