QA Instruments Conductivity Standard 1413uS/cm
Calibration point: 1413 µS/cm is one of the most common mid-range conductivity standards. It’s often used to calibrate instruments that measure in the low-to-medium conductivity range (freshwater, drinking water, hydroponics, aquaculture).
Application range:
Hydroponics & horticulture – to measure nutrient solution strength.
Aquaculture – to check salinity and water quality.
Environmental water testing – streams, lakes, groundwater monitoring.
Laboratories – general water quality control.
Why 1413 specifically?
It sits in the middle of the EC range relevant for many natural waters.
It’s a convenient value for calibrating meters that will be measuring between very pure water (~0.05 µS/cm) and seawater (~50,000 µS/cm).
In short: Conductivity Standard 1413 µS/cm is a reference solution used to calibrate and verify conductivity meters for general water testing and quality control in freshwater to moderately mineralized water applications
