Walden’s Still Life

Artist Statement:

’’ has been inspired by ‘Walden; or, Life in the Woods by Henry David Thoreau.

The book, published in 1854, reflects on the author’s experiences over two years, two months and two days in a cabin he built near Walden Pond, Massachusetts. The work has been described as part self reflection, part wilderness survival guide, part satire and part social experiment.
