55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot

12 months in oak barrels, 50% of which are new.

The Cuvée Prestige of Chteau Tayet is attractive and delicate and far superior to the average standard of a Bordeaux Supérieur, this thanks to its rich colour, its intense and complex nose but especially its full-bodied taste with lots of texture and ripe tannins.

Coming from a single vineyard on the Left Bank it could be classified under a specific AOC but instead has been designated 'Superieur' because of the higher than normal amount of Petit Verdot in the blend.

Drinking superbly when young this wine is even better now and a classical example of good quality Bordeaux red hitting its perfect drinking.
