Shigaraki Mini Bird Vase | Sky Blue

The vase is sculpted in the shape of a bird, with a plump, rounded body and two openings resembling partially spread wings. According to the makers, the inspiration behind these mini vases is “to gently cradle a wildflower with both hands."

The upper body is coated in a sky-blue glaze, delicate yet with a slight mineral texture. Deep navy-blue strokes are casually brushed across the surface, evoking the pattern of feathers. The lower body is left unglazed Shigaraki clay, warm brick-red in tone, creating an unexpectedly harmonious contrast with the cool blue above.
