Marsden flower rau kumara koru

A beautiful dark piece & flower piece of New Zealand greenstone carved into a gorgeous rau kumara koru. This piece is quite special in that it has a dual meaning. The rau kumara represents an eternal bond of friendship, love, and loyalty, while the koru represents new life and growth as an unfurling fern frond.

Marsden Flower Greenstone comes from the Marsden area of the West Coast of New Zealand. The gold-coloured or white variegation in the piece is called "flower" and makes this type of greenstone particularly valued and distinctive
