Torres was founded in 1969 by Manuel Torres and his wife Angeles Medel. It all started with a potato chip stand in Premià de Mar, near Barcelona, Spain. Shortly after, the business started growing and Manuel and Juan, the couple's children, decided to expand the business and move the production of the potato chips to Premià de Dalt. The traditional, handcrafted process employed by the Torres family, coupled with their dedication to using the finest ingredients, has created huge popularity for their potato chips, due to their high quality. In 1995, to attend to the increasing demands, they decided to move to the current facilities in Dosrius. In 2012, they launched the Torres Selecta range and began marketing salted Marcona almonds and roasted pistachios.
