Join us for a rejuvenating and insightful afternoon designed specifically for women who wish to return to the ancient wisdom of nature and the self. Guided by local wellbeing aficionados Nina Parker of The Micro Farm and Emma Sinclair of The Sauna Project Cambridge , this event promises to be both educational and relaxing. You are also welcome to shop while on site at Hearthstone Store, the site’s organic shop that showcases local organic producers.

When: Saturday 23 May What you can expect:

Opening Circle and Welcome

We will split into two groups who will take turns experiencing:

- Sauna with Emma, including guiding, afguss infusion using essential oils from Wellington Apothecary, interspersed with contrast therapy (optional) or just breaks. The sauna will be heated to 80-85 degrees, and this will be completely open to sauna novices and experienced sauna bathers alike.
- Herbal harvest with Nina, preparation of herbs for drying, processing of dried herbs and herbal infusion making and blending. Explanations given throughout for herbal function & uses, blending tips and how to do at home. No prior experience needed.

After our sauna and tea rounds, we come together for a closing circle and wisdom sharing Who is this for:

This event is for women who are curious about the wellness of their immune system, ways to support wellness that have stood the test of time. This event is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or with heart conditions The team:

Nina Parker:

Market gardener at The Micro Farm and community advocate, Nina grows fruits, vegetables, and culinary and medicinal herbs on the Hearthstone Site using organic methods and regenerative practices that foster soil microbiome and ensure strong medicinal constituents in her teas and foods. Nina has taught over 200 people in Waipa bio-intensive growing practices, and spoken to thousands on international forums on the function of plants, forces of nature and animals in living garden systems. She is an advocate for ancient knowledge and community systems that enable health and engagement through her site at Hearthstone.

Emma Sinclair:

Coming from a background in Human Nutrition Emma has spent the past decade working closely with and in purpose led organizations in the Waikato and beyond as founder and impact measurement professional. Her passion project The Sauna Project Cambridge is driven by her Scandinavian roots, deep love for sauna culture and belief that most problems can be solved by community led gatherings.

Participants attending acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with sauna bathing and, if they choose, entering cold water. Teas pose no risk beyond normal culinary use, and participants accept and will manage their own risks when consuming or handling teas.
