Punched Drain Coil Pipe
Punched drain coil (also known a Novacoil or Ag Pipe) is a flexible, corrugated HDPE drain pipe designed to collect excess groundwater from below the surface and transfer it to a designated exit drainage point. Buried in a trench, the punched holes allow water to seep in along the full length of the pipe - not just at one end - making it far more effective than solid pipe for subsoil drainage. Ideal for Gravel-Wrapped Installations
This version comes without a filter sock, making it the right choice when you're wrapping the pipe in coarse aggregate or gravel as part of a French drain or similar system. The gravel acts as the filter medium, keeping fine particles away from the perforations while allowing free water movement into the pipe. Where No-Sock Drain Coil is the Better Choice
In coarse, free-draining soils or gravel-backfilled trenches, a filter sock can actually restrict flow or become unnecessary. Choosing bare punched drain coil in these conditions gives you maximum inflow capacity and avoids the risk of sock degradation over time in aggressive soil environments. Flexible Enough to Follow Any Ground
The corrugated profile gives this drain coil excellent crush resistance underground while staying light and easy to handle on site. It bends naturally around obstacles and follows the contours of uneven ground, reducing the need for fittings and cutting installation time significantly. Where Punched Drain Pipe is Used
Perforated drain coil is widely used across residential lawns and gardens, retaining walls, building foundations, farmland (sheep, beef, dairy, arable, and horticultural), sports fields, golf courses, parks, and civil construction sites. It works equally well in French drain systems and mole drainage installations.
