D20 Reinforcing Bar (6m)
- In Grade 300E bar the "D" prefix stands for "Deformed" (Grade 500E bar has the "HD" prefix for "High-Strength Deformed").
- Grade 300E reinforcing bar is more ductile than Grade 500E with a higher uniform elongation and lower work hardening rate, making it more tolerant of bending.
- All our bar meets the demanding requirements of AS/NZS 4671 compliance.
- Suitable for residential buildings, commercial projects and some larger applications like ground slabs, where engineers specify Grade 300E reinforcing rod for its ability to withstand significant deformation without fracturing.
- The 'E' in 300E denotes its earthquake-resistant properties, making it ideal for structures that require a higher degree of flexibility to handle seismic forces. Deformed Bar vs Plain (Smooth) Bar
Deformed bar features surface ribs for maximum bonding with concrete, while plain bar has a smooth surface, used in applications like dowels and formwork. Projects & Tenders
