This Kākāpō can't help but have a good old stare at you. What a rare bird indeed. Also known as the Owl Parrot this guy is a large, flightless, ground dwelling Parrot endemic to New Zealand and wait for it, lives for 40 -80 years! Of course these facts mean they face a tough time against introduced nasties. As of writing, there are only 199 alive today. A concerted recovery effort is underway, but gee what a challenge it is.

These are full colour, premium cotton tea towels from New Zealand's Hansby design.

Hand wash or gentle machine wash with mild detergent.
