Yuzu citrus is a fruit of East Asian origin. It has uneven skin, and highly seeded, and is believed to be a hybrid of the mandarin orange and the ichang papeda.

It is an integral ingredient in ponzu sauce and is a common ingredient in Japanese cuisine. The zest and juice are both used, and it has a tart and fragrant flavour.
