This course is aimed at people taking on the role of a stand-by person or site supervisor in the energy and chemical industry who will need to understand the principles of gas detection including roles and responsibilities, permit requirements, equipment use and how to interpret the results of an atmospheric test.
This is a group course delivered at your site (or ours) and it can be tailored to suit your specific requirements.
This unit standard is for people working as boiler operators and energy and chemical process operators in an energy or chemical plant.
Unit standard 3058 Perform gas tests for energy and chemical plant - level 4, credits 5.
This course can be delivered as part of the two day Confined Space Intermediate course, code CS2.
We recommend refresher training at least every two years.
