Mounting Kit for SA700

Get your SA700 off the floor entirely. This genuine Smart Air bracket set mounts the SA700 to a wall or ceiling, ideal for clinics, classrooms, offices and homes where floor space is tight, or anywhere you'd rather keep the unit up and out of reach. At only 6.7kg it's light to mount, and performance is identical to floor placement.

What's in the box

Four L-shaped brackets and eight M6×60 masonry anchors for the wall. Note 8x unit mounting screws (M4x16) are included on the SA700 itself. Full step-by-step in the install guide below.

Fixing it to your wall

The supplied anchors are made for solid masonry, so the right method depends on what your wall is built from:

- Brick or concrete: use the supplied 8x M6×60 anchors as per the install guide. Ready to go.
- Timber framing (most homes): don't use the masonry anchors here. Fix into the timber with coach screws or structural timber screws (any hardware store, not included). The bracket fixing points sit 570mm apart and studs are usually 600mm apart, so the tidiest method is to fix a timber backing board across two or more studs first, then mount the brackets onto that.
- Ceilings, plasterboard without solid backing, or anything you're unsure about: have it fitted by a qualified installer. The unit is light, but a solid fixing matters, especially overhead.

What you'll need to fit it

Common to all installs: a screwdriver, a drill, a spirit level, and a pencil. A second pair of hands helps when offering the unit up to mark the holes.

- Brick or concrete: a hammer drill or rotary hammer (a standard drill won't cut masonry well), a 6mm masonry bit long enough to reach 60 to 70mm deep, and a vacuum or blower to clear dust from the holes. The M6×60 anchors are supplied.
- Timber framing: coach screws or structural timber screws to suit (not supplied), a drill bit to pre-drill pilot holes so the timber doesn't split, and timber for a backing board if your studs don't line up with the 570mm bracket spacing.
- Plasterboard or ceilings: fixings depend on the structure behind, so we'd suggest a qualified installer.

For timber walls, follow the fixing method above rather than the anchor step in the PDF, which is written for masonry.
