Faction Prime 1.0

Prime, from Faction for 2018 has been developped in collaboration with one of the big freeride names: Sam Anthamatten. The Freeride World Tour rider and mountain guide wanted a sharp ski with phenomenal performances. Only he also wanted this ski to be light enough to take him on long hikes. To obtain this wonderful range, Sam and the design engineers used ultra-lightweight materials to achieve torsional rigidity similar to or better than the best freeride skis. The core is composed of a mix balsa / flax fiber. The revolutionary Textreme carbon provides an extremely strong ski, and again. lighter because it is designed on a finer weave but better thought. Of course, the more classic recipes of a modern ski are also part of the Prime: sandwich construction, long double rocker, odds lines with several radius lines to increase stability at high speed while improving the responsiveness of skiing in short turns. And even a small layer of titanal underfoot for more stability and power.

1.0 : The Prime range is available in 4 different versions. The Prime 1.0 is is the narrowest of the range with a 90 mm skate. We have a real freerando ski, very fast in the climb thanks to its light weight (1450g) and performing in the descent thanks to its indestructible construction. Its intermediate lines allow a perfect slide and a reduced weight in the climb allow while keeping a good lift in the descent. ThePrime 1.0 is also at ease in carving thanks to its torsional stiffness and its relatively thin skate. Very lively, it will also be a very good companion on a steep slope.
