Atomic Hawx Ultra 130 S Dual Boa 2026

The Atomic Hawx Ultra has been a staple in the low-volume high performance category for quite a while now, for all the right reasons. This season the Ultra 130 got an updated liner and a new closure system -- Dual BOA. Compared to previous versions of the Ultra 130, the newest rendition is a bit more precise in the heel with added material around the ankle bones and in the achilles area. Aside from the new BOA closure offering and the liner tweaks the Ultra 130 remains unchanged.

The Ultra 130 is a lighter weight 130 flex boot that works well for a wide range of skier types while still being more that powerful and stable enough to be skied aggressively by expert skiers. Performance-wise, nothing got lost in the update. This thing is still powerful, responsive, and stiff enough to handle skis at speed. The Memory Fit shell and Mimic liner let you customize the boot to your exact foot shape, and at 98mm last, it’s still firmly in the narrow category, perfect for low-volume feet that need a snug, but anatomical fit. Where it stands out is the fit to performance ratio. The BOA system spreads pressure more evenly than traditional buckles, so you’re not cranking the lower two buckles all day to keep your heel down. Translation: less foot fatigue, more skiing.
