Sauna Stone Care Quick Guide

Check & Rotate every 6 - 12 months: Stones at the bottom wear faster due to more heat and water exposure. Inspect all stones; replace any that are cracked or crumbling. Restack the newer/larger stones at the bottom, then place the older/smaller stones on top.

Replace annually: Replace every year to maintain proper airflow through the heater, prevent element overheating, and keep your sauna performing safely and efficiently.

Watch for signs: Poor airflow, slow heating, or less steam means it’s time to check stones.

WARNING: Sauna stones are known to 'pop' during the first heating sessions. For this reason, we strongly recommend heating your sauna all the way up with these stones on top of your heater, three times before you begin sitting in there and pouring liquid over the stones. This will allow for any popping to take place, following that, you can simply place the smaller stones back on top of your heater and you will be good to go.
