Te Kahu Here, a taonga created for the One Warriors Women, is inspired by the team’s powerful commitment to connection.
Its name weaves together Kahu (a traditional cloak) and Here (referring to connection or relationship), symbolising the values embedded in the jersey itself. Traditional tāniko and tukutuku patterns are featured throughout the design, a visual representation of the players’ diverse identities, backgrounds, and shared heritage.
This is more than a jersey, it’s a visual narrative of unity and collective strength.
Te Kahu Here celebrates the rich cultural diversity within the team and the deep relationships that bind them.
Marking a historic milestone in the club’s NRLW journey, the team will proudly wear an Indigenous jersey for the first time — a design created especially for them.
The artwork was designed by Māori artist Jayden Hokianga (Ngāti Porou, Rongowhakaata, Ngāti Maniapoto), who also crafted the club’s NRL Indigenous Round jersey, Te Ao Mārama.
