2024 Single Estate Marsanne STORMWOOD WINE

VARIETAL100% MarsanneVINEYARDSSourced from a very small single vineyard site oforganically grown vines on Waiheke Island. SEASONGrowing conditions were almost perfect throughoutthe year, and whilst not as hot as 2019/2020, fruit waspicked a few weeks earlier than the previous years.These conditions allowed fruit to reach optimalripeness with no weather stress experienced. As aresult, 2021 will be remembered as a vintage thatproduced extremely high-quality fruit. HARVESTBy hand in late February. VINIFICATIONThe fruit was gently whole bunch pressed to Frenchoak barriques (33% new). Following a period of leescontact the wine was racked, blended and bottled.TASTING NOTESA rich, textural white with notes of stone fruit, beeswaxand underlying hints of honeysuckle. The distinctivevarietal aromas of this premium fruit have been subtlyenhanced with barrel fermentation, creating atextured, elegant wine style.
