Charles Louis Bazin French violin bow
Charles Louis Bazin was the son, pupil and successor to the famous French bow maker Charles Nicolas Bazin, continuing his father’s workshop in Mirecourt and employing a fine list of archetiers, including Jean Claude Ouchard. This strongly worked bow is a good example of his output, with a round stick of well-selected pernambuco which gives a very smooth legato combined with good spiccato and sautillé abilities. This has been a treasured player’s bow for decades and will reward its new owner with its great balance of skills.
