Saffron

This archival print is taken from an original watercolour.

From ancient times, saffron has been used to promote health and is considered the most expensive spice in the world due to the fact that each of the three orange stamens need to be handpicked swiftly as the flowers only lasts a couple of days. It takes 150,000 flowers to make 1 kilo of saffron strands.

A non-fade 12 colour pigment ink printing process is crafted onto archival museum quality 100% cotton rag 270 gsm acid and lignin free art paper. This print will last for many years, but avoid direct exposure to sunlight.

Edition is limited to 150 prints and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist.
